Herb, Yes I think you may have missed the most important part – or at least what I would consider the most important part. This is one of the few 1916 Centerdoor early photos I have seen. Note the lack of brass trim on the lamps. But those could have easily been replaced and/or painted over. But also note that the car has the later two piece rather than three piece front windshield. Below is a photo of the three piece front windshield from the early 1915 Centerdoor that Kim Dobbins used to own [courtesy of Kim]. Notice it shows those curved supports on both sides of the top windshield.
Ford manufactured the 1915 Centerdoors in Dec 1914, Jan & Feb 1915. If we could find some additional details out about that car it might provide some important clues. Such as when did Ford change to the later two piece windshield as well as the steel rather than aluminum body? Current information would have that occurring with the 1916 cars. On page 195 of Bruce's (RIP) book he has 1859 Centerdoors (Sedans) produced in 1916.
As is often the case -- would you please send me or let us know where we can obtain a higher resolution copy and or additional information about the photo/car?
Note it also appears to have a double wishbone (they must have read the thread about that...)
Always the optimist, some additional photos from other angles would be great! I wonder if there are any? Bob Kiefaber has a 1916 Centerdoor (as well as Ghost 1915 and a later starter model Centerdoor). It also has the two-piece front windshield.

I do not think so. In 1916 she lived in St. Paul MN. Her father worked as a station or depot railroad agent and was assigned in St. Paul for several years. She went to St. Paul Central High School.

Thanks! I wish it had been on a historical site etc. where we might have been able to obtain some additional information. And it clearly is a 1916 (or a 1916-1918 body [the 1919s had electric starter and would not have had the side lamps] ) placed on an earlier chassis or a brass radiator and hood and hood former placed on a 1917-1918. But assuming it is an early photo – it most likely actually was a 1916 Centerdoor.
Again thank you and others for the early photos that are posted -- we never know which one may contain the missing information we are looking for.

What's going on with this double posting?
The last couple of posts, a bunch of words came up that didn't make sense and I didn't know what to do, click it again or what, so I clicked back to my post and was afraid if I hit again it would double post. Then I hit the back arrow, don't know much about these damn computers, and checked and it was posted.
I would sure love to have seen that photo about twenty years ago. There was a lot of discussion about whether or not the '16 sedan was ever even built or not. It is still up for debate. But having had owned one, I have my opinion about it. Mine was not great evidence either way. However there were a few things about it that indicated it was real. It ended up being owned by a (well, lets not say that sort of thing?), but I often wonder what later became of it.
It was a great running car.
One of the first things I noticed on the photo you posted was the windshield. There are a bunch of things more I wish I could look at. Think he'll let me look inside at the rear seat?
