My 9-year-old daughter wants to build a Model T Speedster. We've been collecting parts for her. She put the first coat of primer on the fenders a couple days ago. She did a great job. Of course, my opinion may be a bit biased. Here are a few pictures.

Perhaps you could have her stop at my place and prime my Coupe fender. It looks like she does a better job then I do.

I love that spray booth! I still have to paint my stuff on the driveway.

WOW, that's great--not only is the paint booth especially set up for restoring stuff (lots of hanging pipes for parts hanging), but you've got her learning safety too. At that young age, it is very wise to keep the painting chemicals from entering the body. Think what her peers will think when she says, "I painted it myself!"

Dave-great photo. Here's one of the first three 'early car' generations in my family. That's me in the center. I'd rather not say how long ago it was!

I am very fortunate to have access to the paint booth at McPherson College-so that's where we were. I agree; the safety gear is a must (long pants and all)- especially at that age.

Looking at the back corner of the booth, it looks like a masking paper dispenser on a movable rack (and that you used some of the hanging paper to test the paint pattern, Neat idea! I'll have to remember that when I finally get to paint some of my stuff (but I won't have a neat booth like that!).
