My 9-year-old daughter wants to build a Model T Speedster. We've been collecting parts for her. She put the first coat of primer on the fenders a couple days ago. She did a great job. Of course, my opinion may be a bit biased. Here are a few pictures.

Chris,
That's great! You can't start them too young.

Chris - Absolutely fantastic! I love her enthusiasm, she will be a T lover her entire life. Keep up the good work.
Chris Paulson:
That's great, I started my boys pretty young also.

I will try the picture again.

I keep getting a message that says I hit the button twice but I did not.

That's great! I love the long pants.
Chris,
Perhaps you could have her stop at my place and prime my Coupe fender. It looks like she does a better job then I do.
I love that spray booth! I still have to paint my stuff on the driveway.
WOW, that's great--not only is the paint booth especially set up for restoring stuff (lots of hanging pipes for parts hanging), but you've got her learning safety too. At that young age, it is very wise to keep the painting chemicals from entering the body. Think what her peers will think when she says, "I painted it myself!"
Fantastic!!

Adorable!
She looks like she is having a great time and, like David said, will be able to tell her peers about doing something very cool. I may have some work to send her way as long as the booth is primed.......
Chris, congrats..
Thank you all for the comments. Fortunately she loves it. I hope her enthusiasm continues. She had a great time painting.
Dave-great photo. Here's one of the first three 'early car' generations in my family. That's me in the center. I'd rather not say how long ago it was!
I am very fortunate to have access to the paint booth at McPherson College-so that's where we were. I agree; the safety gear is a must (long pants and all)- especially at that age.

Chris,
What a great thread !
Thank You
Jim
Chris,
Looking at the back corner of the booth, it looks like a masking paper dispenser on a movable rack (and that you used some of the hanging paper to test the paint pattern, Neat idea! I'll have to remember that when I finally get to paint some of my stuff (but I won't have a neat booth like that!).

Chris,
Would she like to paint my fenders? Looks like she's enjoying it more than I would. Just gotta do a little more metalwork, then she can have at them. haha
That is so cool, Chris. WTG!
Is she available to paint some T parts for me this weekend?? :-) Great to see!
Alan in Western Australia
Jared-I told her you said that. She laughed pretty good.
Alan-She would be glad to. If you supply plane tickets for the two of us, we'll be on our way!
