We all met about 945 AM today at a place we call "The Roy Y". Cars of all makes and models but there were 4 Model T's from the Carbon Canyon Model T club. Only about a 40 mile run today but BRRR... a sunny 26 Degrees when I left the house this am! The house was 20 Miles from our starting point! My bride brought her 1923 Runabout and I had my 1927 Touring. No curtains on either one but Mike Conrad had the top AND windshield (top half) down on his 1915 Runabout. No hat, no gloves and no brains!

HEYYY,no brains?? thats a low blow! (the truth is had to take) We had a great time! I had my little 12yr niece with me and she was a great navigator. (may end up being my secret weapon come time for the speedster runs this year) One of the biggest turnouts yet with around 70-100 cars. I counted 5 T`s 4 from our club but when you concider the 20+ model A`s that showed up and the fact it was put on by a model T club I still find this bizarre. But hey it didn`t rain! Sorry no pic`s this time my hands were to cold to press the button anyway.

Sounds like our club tours! 3 model T's and an equal amount of A's

Mike,

I'd thought about joining you folks but had already accepted an invite to a brunch in Mount Vernon. On NY Eve Mary asked if we were driving the speedster up - in a rare case of common sense I decided not to drive for 2 hours each way with it below freezing. I think she was kidding but . . .

Walt

I kinda' had the same situation Walt; we're up here in Bellingham with our motorhome with some friends for the New Year's holiday plus a couple more days, but otherwise, I would have sure liked to have made that New Year's Day run. After all, the depot hack DOES have side curtains, as I'm not as brave (read "nuts") as Mike. I sure thought about our members on New Year's Day who DID make the run as it was sure a nice day, even if cold. And I had one more thought; we obviously elected a VERY active and enthusiastic club president and vice president for 2013! HAPPY NEW YEAR everybody, and "see ya' at the breakfast meeting this Saturday!

Walt, of course you were missed but I understand those guys are great up there. It`s good I didn`t know about that event I might have tried that drive.(and froze to death!) I have enjoyed that drive with you before when it was a little warmer. The speedster is still down but should be ready to give you and your buddies hell soon. looking forward to spring.

Mike. Sounds like fun. Maybe I'll come down and join you next year. Help boost the T numbers. BUT I'm bringing gloves!

The Spokane Model T Club did a New years run also. 5 T's and about 35 people. This run is more about the buffet. :-) After we stuffed our faces the 5 Model T's went on a quick tour and we shot some photos. It was a brisk 20 degrees on Jan 1, 2013.

Here are the only pictures I took of our New Years Day run. As you can see, lots of different things to look at. Great day, great tour, great lunch too.

It was a great run and yes, a bright cold crisp but dry day. At 26 degrees when we left the house I thought we were nuts. I was so thankful to get home and John got the fireplace going!

Mike, good to see your club was out on first also. After attending the speedster endurance run last spring that you and your club put on I have nothing but Respect,... but I do question your guys idea of a "quick tour" . Do your cars even warm up after a 100 miles?!! I hope your club has a great tour year and that I may find my way over for a visit this summer.

Love the pics guys and gals. I sure envy you and your auto runs. Being stuck out here in auto-no man's land sure has its disadvantages.
