I wonder if there is a roster with addresses of "T" owners? I live in western Massachusetts and there are no clubs near me. I would like to get together with other owners to swap stories and help each other, maybe local rides.

I know Tom Carey, and you're no Tom Carey!

Just kiddin' . . :-)

The Tom Carey I've known for 35 years learned to fly at the little airport that used to be next to my house, and he's been a 737 Captain at AA for a long time. He was enroute BOSton to Chicago when 9-11 happened. They were shunted off to a corner of the airport when they landed, and were told nothing for an hour and a half.

Sorry for the thread drift. Hope you find T people in your area. They're everywhere. You might try advertising T parts wanted or for sale on Craigslist.

Most clubs provide an annual or bi-annual membership list as a part of your dues payment. This club sells a bound book or the book on CD at about $75 or so. The last one was printed a couple of years ago.

Perhaps someone who did purchase that list will read your post and send you the names of known members in your area. You did the right thing by asking here.

Until someone does send you names, just look at your post and print the word BUMP and it will move your request to the top of the list again.

Put an ad on Craigslist. I did, trying to form a chapter of the MTFCA in my area. Only takes five people.

I wasn't able to form the chapter but did manage to hook up with another Model T enthusiast.

Ya never know!

Note there are several local clubs in Massachusetts the first two are approximately 54 miles from you. A little bit of a drive in a T but quick in your modern iron [ok – we don’t have that white stuff on the roads down here. And I’m certain they will have folks nearer to your location.

See the chapter listing at: http://mtfca.com/clubpages/chapters.htm#ma and the links will work for the e-mail etc.

• Central Mass Model T Club see their web site at: http://clubs.hemmings.com/centralmamodelt/?club=centralmamodelt

c/o Nancy Wall, President
PO Box 371
Upton, MA 01568
They are holding a winter social at the Asa Waters Mansion at 6PM tomorrow Jan 5, 2013 – 44 miles from Belchertown. I would guess that one is not a “workshop” for bringing projects to be cleaned and repaired. But if you have a significant other – they might really think it is special.

Also within 54 miles of Belchertown:

• Yankee Ingenui T's
c/o Brian Berry
PO Box 282
Ashby, MA 01431

Recommend you contact both clubs and see who is living near you and what activities will be in your area (tours, workshops etc).

Respectfully submitted,

Tom,
Some decent day take a ride to Lang's store in Winchendon MA (if you haven't already) and talk with the folks there. Perhaps they will know some T folks local to you; also, there used to be a bulletin board there - consider putting up a little note that you'd be interested in forming a chapter and see what happens.

Good Luck!
