This has probably discussed many times on the forum, changing to 26, 27 transmission, but I want to keep my 1918 transmission.
Does this idea of making plates riveted, bolted behind the boom.
Can you maybe glue with chemical or metal?
You think this might work?

You can't just make them as the grain of the material has to go in the right direction.
The lug covers need to take care of side to side as well as center to center. The ones shown in Lang's catalog are correct.

No they should not build too much on the inner vanes, therefore, only on the edges.
If you understand me.
But it is possible that they might fit if I am filing / sanding down lugs.
By R.V. Anderson on Saturday, January 05, 2013 - 03:06 pm:They may fit the clutch plates when you have finished, but there won't be enough metal remaining to reliably hold the drive plate bolts. If you weld with solid brass these plates are of harder material, as illustrated. Will this be able to work well I think.

... but would love to be able to reuse many old drums.
In the U.S., there are many of the newer model.
RV Andersson has promised me a good drum to be sent to me, which I thank him extra for!
Will be back with my project with the renovation of an older model, which I will also test on another engine.
