Has anyone here used one of this units? If so how did or does it preform?

That's the ultimative compromise!!! Now - can you show a similar compromise for the waterpump yes/no debate?

Jay, do you have any pictures of the internals of the timer? Does it have a sliding brush?

No compromise, just gets your timer up and easier to service, of course on the k&w you did have to replace with their parts!
Stephen, Here's what the working parts look like with the inspection cover off.
The timer ring and brush are Bakelite. If you look close the brush is stopped on the black wire position.

Here's the American Basch that I picked a few years ago for $25.00. Haven't tried it yet.

The timer riser in the advertizement has a much larger cover on the top then Jay's photo. I wonder if some of these timers had a centrifugal advance built into them?
