Early 1909, after about serial number 900 but probably before 2500. It is not grey, which is a bit unusual since grey was the standard color for the Runabout body style in 1909 model year.
Is there really such a thing as a doctor's runabout?
Be nice Steve
Now Royce it has a two bolt body mount, that would put it after 25199.
That is nice. My 09 Runabout was bought new by a Doctor lol. Very interesting history. Benson Ford opened up lots of doors for me in searching the history of my 09 and the original owner as well as pictures that have been found by the Family.
27904 has two bolt body mount in the link you posted. The three bolt style was evidently in use as early as serial 25199, but the two bolt style was still being used as late as 27904.
Likely both styles coexisted in the summer of 1910 until all the earlier parts were exhausted.
I couldn't find the smiley face
Robbie - Now that we're all interested, could you please share with us pictures of your '09 Runabout and a brief history?
Take away the "stash" and you've got that TV Vet. DR. Pol.
It looks grey on my computer.....
Seriously, I love seeing these very early Ts and the detective work that goes into figuring out the vintage as near as possible.
Correct me: Black top, black interior & white/grey tires? + the side panel of the seat is much darker than the lower portion of the body.
Charlie I think that could be a result of the side of the seat being flared at a different angle other than the lower part.
Could be a trick of the light conditions. The top of the engine cover is darker too. So what's more likely black or grey?
