I bought a set of E&J # 376 headlights today, these look like the #466 you would see on a 1909 or 1910 Model T . Except the doors are different.
They are originals with McBeth reflectors also got 2 extra reflectors.
Any idea what these came on I've never seen this number before. There in great condition for the age .

I have a note (don't know where the info came from) that the #376's were sold by Great Western Auto in Indiana.The#376's do have E & J on them and also Detroit

They were sold between 1909 -1915 by Great Western Auto out of Indiana. They were used as replacements on a variety of non-Ford cars at that time.

I have also seen them on 1910 or so EMF automobiles.

There's a couple small differences on these lights over the 466 models, mounting brackets with notch, doors, ect...
Other than that they are very similar to the 09 - 10, 466 models commonly seen, on the Model T .
They have a couple spots cleaned on them prior to him selling them to me he said he had them stored on a shelf in his garage for the past 35 years and they haven't touched till this week. I think they have been taken apart at some point and had a amateur restoration job done due to the solider that's present, or maybe they wasn't cleaned well when built...?
So clean and polish'em or leave that nice brown patina..?

Steve are they not just a little bigger and don't fit the model T forks?

I haven't measured them yet, but judging by looking at them they seem to be the same as the 466 I'll do some measuring soon.
I did look on the emfauto.org site they appear to be the same lights that came on the EMF so I believe Ed was right if that's the case they are probably three times as rare as the Ford lights.

I had a pair of these once. From memory the door was the same size as 466, but the body was larger than 466. I had a pair of forks that were virtually the same as 1909-10 model T forks, only bigger. They were the right size for the 376 lamps. Looked identical to standard T forks but were definitely scaled up. They were factory not modified. I saw a second pair that were the same.

Thanks for the info, you and John may be on to something these very well could be larger than the 466 set . I'll put a tape measure to them and measure center to center and post my findings later today.

Here's a set of EMONDS & JONES with over sized forks that I took off our 1913 speedster and replaced with a pair of Ford brass and black lamps. The doors are 9.25 inches in diameter. They have glass parabolic mirrors. Anyone know if these are repops or not? any info. would be helpful, thanks.

Okay here it is, mounting bracket holes on the 376's are approx: 9 inches center to center best I can tell using a tape measure...
Any body got measurements for the 466's center to center on the brackets?

Just went and measured a pair of Original1909 Headlight forks we have and its 7" from one Fork to the other.

I think I now know pretty much what they came off of and the fact that are a very rare set.

I don't own the #376 Bonnets all I did is keep a photo of them that were for sale one time.
