i have 1924 fordor,and running a new gas line have all new parts where does the line run along frame or what.one was there but rubber.

First, if you're using copper tubing -- DON'T! Copper 'work hardens' when it flexes from vibration, and eventually cracks or splits. Use steel brake lines sold at any auto parts house, unless you're lucky enough to have some original Brass line. If you're a purist, spray it with brass paint from a rattle can.

Second, the routing of the line is somewhat open to your personal preference, BUT where it crosses over or comes close to the exhaust pipe, keep it as far away as possible. If it gets too hot, the gasoline inside will boil, forming a "bubble" in the line, and shutting off the flow. This is called "Vapor Lock." Some folks use insulation on the line for extra caution. The only cure for vapor lock is to stop and let things cool - which can be uncomfortable!
