Is there still a spring hershey?
You may be thinking of Carlisle, about 20 miles West of Hershey. Good swap meet, but lots more non-auto knick-knacks than Hershey.
"Hershey" is only in October, AACA Eastern Region Fall meet.
Carlisle seems to be the largest east coast used (collector) car lot. Everything's for sale & very few T's if any although there was one there for sale and when I later found out from a friend what it went for I almost died. Believe this was last year's spring show.
I went to Spring Hershey years ago. It was staged by a local chapter and called H.I.T.S for Hershey in the Spring. The entire meet was held on the White Field. Admission was charged to enter the field and the meet was cancelled in later years.
Good question. I was sure that they moved the Spring swap meet to the AACA museum when that was finished, but its not on their 2013 calendar. Might be worth a call to headquarters if you're really interested.
Carlisle? Who's that????
Carlisle is a big auction venue
Yes there is a Spring in Hershey as well as Summer, Fall, and winter.
My experience with "other" swap meets held in well-known locations has not been good. The Petit Jean meet in June is a good one. I tried the fall meet there one time and it didn't amount to much. The Chickasha meet in March, which we all love, is one of three held in the same location. The fall meet is bigger but mostly postwar, and the May meet, if they still have it, is a miserable waste of time. The fall and May meets are held by a different club than the prewar meet.
