I found this in a booklet named " A Pictorial History of the Ford" dated 1957, and thought all of you might like it.
Bruce,
I've not seen the touring before. The roadster is taken on the "Ocean to Ocean" race in1909. It was the pace car from NY to St Louis.
Thanks for posting,
Rob

To add to your quest....perhaps you could find these booklets, printed by Ford for the K. Never have see these or reprints, but maybe you have.

Guys,
I've accumulated a few of them. A few have been reprinted. I'll try to get a pic of them and PM you sometime.

Here is my original photograph of Childe H. Wills and his 640 K roadster. Wills is credited with designing the Model K.

Looking at the Model K brochure, it seems that the Model K engine is a forerunner of the modern short stroke engines. The bore as I read it is 4 1/2 inches and the stroke 4 1/8 inches, as in modern engines the stroke is slightly smaller than the bore.
C.H. also designed the FORD script that they still use today. Here is page 7 from the booklet
