Thought you might be interested in a factory Snow Flyer picture. This is from 1922, this was there first design and the one that failed,4 wheel chain drive with tracks that were designed like door hinges.

There are none of these around, they were all (26 were made and sold) purchased back at a cost of $12000.00 when law suites were pending,because
of breakdown due to poor design. Redesigned by Mr.Lagenfelt (leaving Mr Arps out of the loop this time)and they worked great.

The tracks were two ridged with the door pin
flex point and put two much strain and braking.
the chain drive between the two axle units were
coming off and causing extra work for the operators by having to crawl under in the snow to
put the chains back on the sprockets. If you look close at the picture you can see the chain drive. The information on the buy back is in letters by both Mr.Langenfeld and Mr.Arps who were working together on the first units built. This would have been about 1923.
