I think there is a real need for a comprehensive modern manual for servicing & restoring the Model T Ford. The factory manual is dated to say the least and has very small dark photos that my now older eyes often can make little of. The Club manuals are a little better in some ways but are still far from being up to date and they have large gaps in coverage. There is opportunity here for somebody.

That is going to be a pretty big job, one that needs someone more equal to the challenge than myself.

But since Ford had a consensus on how something was done, how would you write the manuals? If the manual says one thing, and then you come on here and get a billion different answers, what was the point?

Good point Bill, but that just tells us that the task will have some complications. It might even be necessary to detail more than one way to do a given job.

I have seen some good material in the Model A world so it can be done even if it can never satisfy everyone.

I tend to agree Paul. I have gone to the manual twice now in the past several months to perform maintenance and both times I had to come here to get clarification from the experts.

It's a good guide but for some folk like me who do not have and did not have in the past, a mentor to help out, there are gaps in its usefulness.
