Does anyone have pictures of the copper line from the acetylene tank to the radiator. I have the tube that distributes the gas across the radiator but the line from the acetylene tank to that point is missing. Thanks!
No but it should be brass not copper tubing. Acetylene and copper don't play well together.
Please take a look at Phil Mino's site:
Some older posts with pictures of original locations on the subject of routing the metal tubing with clips.
While we're here on this subject, does anyone know why there would be two holes going down through a splash apron for the rubber hose? I acquired one and it is a mystery to me.
Your just seeing double.
Maybe a presto-lite tank was added and a new hole was put in for re-routing the gas line.
Battery box mounted in place of the carbide tank. Two holes needed, one for + cable the other for - cable.
Possibly for use on RHD cars.
That was a joke, BTW.
Mark, I believe that Ford did use brass lines. I see that the gubbernment warns against letting acetylene come in contact with both copper and brass in that "miner's alert".
