You can grind the markings off modern bolts and cap screws, and you can drill holes for cotter pins, but making the heads taller is rather impractical. Maybe somebody here can save me a long session of Google scrounging. Anyone know a source for the original style?

Steve, I don't deal much with my shrunken heads so I can't help you, they kinda just hang out in the bottom of my sock draw. :-)

Steve,
You can get them from Restoration Supply, but they are rather expensive. Check out http://www.restorationstuff.com/pdf/RestorationSupplyCompany.pdf
It's a long address so you may have to copy and paste it into your browser.
They also have a lot of other really neat restoration items.

I thought you were talking about Congress?
We will be making the right style bolts here soon, Bob
What and how many do you need?
Doug, I don't know. I'm a few short in various places, in different sizes. The question is more general than specific. It would be nice to have a ready supply of the right bolts in several sizes when you're working on a car and find the occasional wrong thing on it.
When I read the title I knew someone would post a picture of shrunken heads --
Call it clairvoyance or something but I just knew it..
Fred, same here only I thought they would be playing Poker.
The reproduction bolt kits for Model T are underwhelming in terms of authentic looks or even the right lengths. Wish someone would make a decent set of engine bolts, I am almost out of good original ones.
I thought it was going to be in reference to dealing with tax collectors!
Fred, The Devil made me do it!
Jay, that pic could pass for the latest "After" pic of a bunch of meth-heads!
Since you mentioned it...

HAHAHA! Startled my cats by busting up out loud great pic..hahaha
