Working on an NH Holly carb and would like to see a cross section diagram of the gas flow if anyone knows where I can find one. Appears to me the gas enters from the "elbow" (I know I'm right up to here)then falls into the bowl thru the ball float valve, is then sucked up thru the spray nozzle and goes toward the intake maniford. (If the needle valve isn't screwed all the way down) I can see light tru the spray nozzle hole with the needle out. The ball valve moves freely. I've had it off 3 times and can not see why she won't start. Yes, the battery is good, yes the coils sing, yes there is plenty of gas. Appreciate any thoughts. (Just love this internet thing, I can get a lot of help and not have to listen to all the laughter)
Spark plug gap ??? I had probs with that 3mons ago Also rebuilt carb and cleared all the little passages and replaced the mix needle. Had some crust that had to be scrapped out in the mix needle area.
Fred,
You live in a fairly populated area of Oklahoma. There ought to be someone else near Stillwater who could help you. Model T's are not too complicated, and Model T people love to help out fellow T ers. Have you contacted the Tulsa club?
Fred, will this help...

Just curious - did the engine run before you removed the carb?
If not, does the engine "suck"?
If not..timing gear?
OK, the coils buzz. Did you lay the spark plugs out on the head and watch them spark at or about TDC as you turned the crank? It does no good for the coils to work if the timer doesn't get the juice to the plugs at the right time.
How clean is the fuel supply? Sometimes debris in the gas plugs up a passage in the carburetor.
Royce, yeah I do need to contact the Tulsa people, they were my Dads "go to guys" when he was a T guy. (wish I hadda paid attention when I was a kid!) The car was running fine until the ignition switch failed on me, got that fixed but then the car wouldn't start and I noticed the carb was leaking so I pulled it off. Figure it musta been flooding since gas was coming out the air intake. The componets of the carb appear to be fine but still doesn't start. Will try the spark plug on the head trick before I get into the timer. Thanks guys.
