The post a couple of days ago on 3-D rendering of the T transmission reminded me of this video of a 4-cycle engine, taken from a video camera lens inserted into the combustion chamber.

Maybe you have seen this, but looking again is almost mesmerizing.

Often think of my T's engine, as the coils are clicking, ticking along, on what is going on under the cylinder head as you move on down the road.

I wonder for how long the lens was clear enough for filming ?

I've heard of guys making their engines run slow, but that is the slowest running engine I have seen. Actually, it is pretty cool seeing what is going on in there.

In trade school we had a clear plastic single cylinder 4-stroke engine that the teacher to demonstrate engine theory. I don't remember if it used gasoline or proprane as a fuel.
