Has anyone had any experience removing the bushing for the shaft? Even after spiting the bushing it does not want to come out.

The output on the pump and the inlet on the block don't line up and was wondering if the atlas pump came with a different inlet. That's why I am asking about a copy of an AD.
The bushing in question does not have a flange but also does not want to come out. I asked the question because as the pump was made by the Atlas Brass Foundry I wonder if it was a pored brass bushing.
