As my long delayed project '23 Runabout project snails along toward completion I have decided to do the steering column up more properly now that it is out & apart. The outer casing or "tube" has a number of small dents and needs work to get it ready for powder coat. I'm not much for metal work and need to move things along if I am to get the car ready for an event coming up in just a few weeks.
Does anyone have a good ready for powder 1923 style "tube" they would like to sell? I would also like to find a complete steering gearbox & cover in good ready to plate shape for the same car.

I will keep you in mind saturday at the swap meet.
Your location is not listed on your bio. What's your 20? I may be able to help
All of my info seems to have disappeared from the bio, I'll fix that. I'm in Fullerton, CA just about 5 miles north of Disneyland.
I could probably use a complete steering column with all the bits if it came that way.

I'll check my stash, How much rust can you tolerate?
I'm intending to powdercoat the tube so surface rust is not a problem, pits might be.
I just got back from The Tin Shed where Larry Blair had taken the column to bits. It is an early column (probably 1916) with the two bush bottom bracket (damaged) and no lock stops in the steering gearbox case. I really ought to find a complete 19-25 column with all the bits included. That way I would be making the car closer to the 1923 that the body is.
