By David Dare - Just a little South West . on Saturday, January 26, 2013 - 10:46 pm:With a little dish washing liquid, the fronts took about 15 mins each and the rears took about 1 hour each, those smaller rims certainly make it hard, but the job is done and they look pretty damn cool BUT, they don't travel as well as a flat grooved tire.......you can feel those block style lettering tread move during cornering....

Do you have NonSkids on all fours? Mine are only on the front. Does make sense though when you think about how much tread on the ground.

By David Dare - Just a little South West . on Sunday, January 27, 2013 - 05:38 pm:Gene, yes on all four wheels, Alex, they are different to drive on, if you've driven on a flat grooved style tire for many years, it wont feel like that, they seem to be well made and weighted, they do install well with a small bottle of dish washing liquid, and for my 8 km's ( 5 mile ) of driving on them so far, can tell they are odd to drive on, today l'll have another go and be a little harder on them.
If your are ordering them do so, although l don't believe that NON SKID tires were ever used on all 4's originally, just the fronts !!!!!

By Royce in Dallas TX on Sunday, January 27, 2013 - 06:43 pm:Sure would be fun if the reproductions were red sidewall with black tread. It cost more back in the day to buy the stronger colored tires and tubes. The tan / grey tires and tubes were made from plain natural rubber.

Just back from a 15 mile drive, it must just have been the fresh tire, it's fine now, wow smooth rotating tires and weighted well tires are a good thing.( the new rims and wheels may have something to do with that too ).
