Talk about being paranoid. All I could watch was about 6 min and 50 sec of this phoney video before I fell off my chair laughing. They forgot to put the large "UN" on the roof of all those so called UN cars photo shopped in the satellite shots. Most of the troop trains are normal equipment movement from one coast to the other.

But Dennis, the evil socialist secret Muslim terrorist really born in Kenya who can't talk without a teleprompter controlled by the Jews and his scary suicide bomber wife who hates America (they're coming to take your guns) are sending black helicopters from the Trilateral Commission to carry all patriots off to a concentration camp in Indiana. It's on the internet, so it must be true.

The first time I met someone who was a John Birch Society member I thought he was trying to be funny. Turns out he was serious, and I often had to walk away to keep from busting out in laughter when that guy would warn us of the "Nato conspiracies". You have to be really confused to be in that group. Amazing how gullible some folks are.

When it does finally happen people wont be able to understand why it did. Thats what happens when you have blind people leading blind people.

I cant watch utube on this computer.
But it would be dumb to sit back and think that noone is watching us,nothing is going to change, when basic rights are being eroded away daily.
There will be extremist in both directions. You just have to weed thru the static and decide for your self.

A minimally educated John Bircher I knew in the Army in Germany had never been off the US base until he came to our apartment for Christmas, 1966, along with a half dozen others. He spent his free time reading the bible. Hadn't thought about him in many years until this came up.

He wasn't near as interesting as Keith from Butte, who spent his free time on trips with LSD, or Lenny Jandreau from New England, who cruised his '64 Fairlane 500 Sport on the Autobahn with the 120 mph speedo buried. He sure made a lot of Mercedes and Porsche drivers mad as he went smokin' by.

"Lenny, how good are your tires?" That was my main worry when riding with him.

What good are your Uzis against a drone you can't even see? PBS Nova had a special about drones this week, and it's sobering. Like most real innovations, a guy developed the prototype for the Predator in his garage. He eventually got DARPA money to complete the project.

I thought $350 Million each for the F-22 (and probably F-35) obsolete fighters was criminal until that show said one type of drone costs $100 Million each, and they have 3 times as many losses as manned fighters.

Something like 55 countries are buying or building drones.

If you're a potential drone target, like al Qaeda in Yemen, it would change your whole lifestyle.

Steve I told you don't tell anyone about the concentration camp here in Indiana, it's supposed to be a secret. If we could listen in on the conversations back in 1900's when the automobile really took off in sales, you would understand what real paranoia was like ( horses verse motorized transportation) it has to be the work of the devil or something even worse. This was told to me by my grandfather who passed in the 80's who lived to the ripe old age of 99 with all of his faculties. Talk about a guy who saw change, first automobile, airplane, several wars had 13 kids and I spent nearly half of every Sunday in the summer fishing with him from 1958 to 1967. Bottom line change is inevitable understand it and adapt. For those of you who think that the USA will be taken over by the U.N. it will happen right after pigs fly. I think the guys in the video are just after your money because that is there hedge against inflation, hurry up send in your money but remember a fool and his money are soon parted.

I think I'll just go out and work on my 1909 T it will be more productive. Just my $00.02 Steve

Just because some people are paranoid, it doesn't mean they're not out to get us.....LOL

Steve, it was the same with my grandparents. They rode in a wagon from west here to TN. experienced the change of the automobile and the world was coming to an end, airplanes the world was coming to an end, and the worst of all was going to the moon, God just wasn't going to let that happen, it was really over then. We'll there is one thing proven, no one can predict the end of time, enjoy the time we have left, everyday is precious, spend as such and like Steve, if the model T brings to you enjoyment by all means enjoy it.Just a few thoughts from a country boy from TN.
God Bless
Chester

People gotta stop listening to Coast-to-Coast. I know two people who listen to that show and think it's all true. One guy actually thinks that the US has teamed up with China to fight aliens out at sea off the California coast. He says so because he heard an expert say so on that show. I'm not making this up. He's convinced. The other guy is convinced that we never went to the moon and Sandy Hook didn't happen.

Sad thing is that both of these guys are otherwise intelligent...just lack a lot in the critical thinking skills department.

I'd tell you who they voted for but that would just start a fight...grin..

Ralf,

I think I knew Lenny with his 64 Fairlane 500 -
but I believe it was the "Thunderbolt" with the 657 HP 2 -4 barrel 427 Cu in motor not the Sport model.

It was fast in a straight line but a "bit unstable" if you tried to change direction.
It did 1/4 miles passes in the mid 11 sec range at a bit over 120 MPH so 120 on the autobaun was a cake walk.

No comment on the nut cases!

120 was SLOW on the autobahn in the mid 80s. I would drive my 70 Mercedes 280S in the far left lane cruising on A5 at 120 mph between Darmstadt and Frankfurt and have to constantly get in the lane to the right to let the real speed demons go by in their Porsches and Italian super cars.

Loved that old Mercedes. It was a 6 cylinder with a 4 speed on the column and cruised very nicely at 120 mph.

Lenny may have bought a Thunderbolt or converted his Fairlane after he got home, Fred, but it had the original 289 in Germany where he bought it. It was red with white top and red/white interior.

It was only a couple of years old but had a bad vibration, so he got it for only $700. When they showed him the crack in the aluminum 4-speed's housing, he noticed a bad U-joint. $5 UJ later, he had a great car, and ignored the crack.

He was E-5 when his enlistment was up, so his American car could have been shipped to Bayonne at govt cost. They shipped my AF surplus Intl crewcab, and I picked it up in Bayonne in Dec. '67. I paid $85 for it with bad clutch master cyl, that was included. They guy I bought it from thought it was a bad clutch slave cyl. Troubleshooting pays.

Fred, if you think this is the same Lenny, please get me contact info for him if you can. Two years ago I visited another buddy from there near St. Cloud, MN.

Ralf - Just kidding about Lenny in Germany, but there was a guy named Lenny that raced a Thunderbolt at the Conn Dragway. It was one of the rare maroon ones.

He was a bit west of crazy and south of insane.
Would fit right in with 120 MPH in a vibrating Ford on the Autobahn.

Top of pagePrevious messageNext messageBottom of page Link to this message  By Ricks - Surf City on Monday, January 28, 2013 - 11:09 pm:

Oh, it didn't vibrate after Lenny replaced the Ujoint. His speeds were more like 135, but who knows, the speedo pointer was pegged.

Sorry it wasn't Jandreau.
