"New" Ford "K" pieces. This first, in The Los Angeles Herald, July 1906. The first piece mentions the "six cylinder Ford" doing well in speed and hill climbing contests.
The second portion says "most of the Fords sold were of the six cylinder type". It goes on to say the "new runabout...... Is expected daily"
I thought it interesting hat the "six" had comments about selling well.

This account mentions the "much discussed six cylinder" and "greatest creation of Henry Ford". Again, interesting comments about Ford's new six cylinder car.

One of the best "tributes" a car maker can make is mentioning their most serious competitors. This is one of several ads I've found where a competitor mentions the "Ford six" in their advertising. In this ad for Tourist, they mention a "six cylinder Ford, six cylinder Stevens and 70 hp Thomas" and post race results.

I'm at O'hare flying home, more to post later. Hope you enjoy these old newspaper "snapshots".

Sorry for the subject line, I had something about Model K and some how it was deleted.
