Vern Shirk did a fabulous job on the rear end with all the different tools and how to do it.Tom Miles gave us a informative talk about the Museum and Martin Alexander showed us a timer mechanism to get the timing right. All in all it was a good day. Thanks to everyone for coming. Thanks to Herb Zook for organizing the car show with six Model Ts' present. A 1926 pickup, a 1927 Touring, a 1910 Touring, a 1921 Turing and a 1923 enclosed car. Thanks to all who brought them.

I'd also like to thank my daughter, Kimberly, for helping me with the Clinic. She was actively involved with the rebuilding of the rear axle on her 1914 Model T Touring. She took many photos of this project for use at the Clinic. She was a BIG help for the Clinic too. She put together the PowerPoint for the talk, assembled all the photos (in sequence) into a photo album, ran the computer during the presentation, held the microphone so I could have hands free to hold parts, loaded & unloaded the parts used in the demonstration, and even did part of the presentation (the part on removing the rear axle from the car).
Some others I'd like to thank are the Flatland T's of Kansas Chapter of the MTFCA. During the year prior to the event, they put together the cut-away rear axle and stand that was used in the demonstration. After the seminar the cut-away rear axle/stand was donated by the Flatland T's to the McPherson College Auto Restoration program as a teaching aid for them.
A couple of objectives I had for the presentation was to get young people involved and also involve our Chapter in the activity. Chris Paulsen's daughters (you've seen one of his daughters painting the fenders on her speedster in another post) and our 2012 Flatland T's President - Justin Dalke's son were all youngsters that had fun with the project. As for the Chapter, we had several meetings throughout the year where club members could help with the cut-away rear axle. It was a good experience for all of these folks!
