In my stash of T parts I found the three intake manifolds pictured. Can anyone tell me what type of carb fits these manifolds? They are not for a model A carb as the flanges to attach the carb are turned perpendicular to the motor.
Zenith aftermarket intakes for the updraft Zenith carb.
would you happen to have a picture of the correct carb?
If you go to my web site, it will show you the correct Zenith as well as the correct carb for the Mayer manifold in the middle. www.strombergof.com
Can you install the Mayer inverted, and use a Zenith downdraft carburetor if you need room for a generator-driven supercharger?
Yup! But you also need to use a 1927 vaporizer style exhaust manifold, or some style of header.
You can turn the standard manifold end for end, mount the intake above it and run a straight pipe up from the exhaust nut. Looks cool and was done a lot in the day on race cars.
