A few of us went on a lunch run today just because we can!
This was taken at Carbonado on the way to Mt Rainier here in Washington.
If the crappy weather ever straightens out, here in Ohio-weather cesspool of America, me & my buds will be doing the same.
I wish there were other T's closer to me. I'd go out on a lunch run with a quickness. It's always more fun with other people.
Nice back roads, nice old cars, nice people, great weather and a really cool place to eat.
Cheap, too. Just right for T people.
Is that your brass rad pickup, John? You're going to be faster next week.
Yes it is Stan. I was pleased with the way she took the hills as I always felt she was a little weak so I am really looking forward to that straight through getting here. It was her maiden voyage.
Should be in the mail tomorrow.
You could, of course, put an OF or a Rayfield UF or a Zenith S4BF on it and then REALLY zoom up the hills.
Truth be told, the Rayfield will zoom up the hills more than an OF will.
For a lot of ZOOM, Zenith HP4S, Stromberg OS-1
It came today.
Does Carbonado still have Model T's in almost every driveway?
Not so that you would notice although there are still a few around.
Wilkeson (first town down the road) once had several that you could not help but notice as you drove by but they are thinning out. They get purchased and the new owner takes it home, hopefully to restore to safe running condition.
Several years ago, we attended an HCCA tour in Portland Oregon with our 13 touring. One day we toured up to Mount Hood and had lunch at the Timberline Lodge. Beautiful but lot's of traffic on the tour routs. No problems with our model T.
Had a great time....we have signed up for a HCCA Island Navigator tour in Oak Harbor, Washington (Whidbey Island) Sept. 7-11 2014. The tour is co-hosted by the Skagit/Snohomish Regional Group HCCA & Northwest Chapter Steam Automobile Club.
The HCCA Tour in Oak Harbor sounds real good. I've booked it as well. It will be our 4th tour with this group and they've always been first class. Bring it on!
Oak Harbor/Whidbey Island is a beautiful area. You should have a great time.
Looking forward to seeing you at the CANAM this year Ken!
I've signed up for the Island Navigator Tour too. The last time I saw you was on the tour in Pendleton, Oregon a few years ago. You had your REO on that one. What car will you have in September? I'm may bring the White, but 2 REO's would be neat.
I plan on taking the REO. Having our 2 REO's together would be neat. Several friends that have 2 cylinder Buicks are also going. Another is planning to bring his 2 cylinder Tourist. From what I was told, this would be an excellent tour for 2 cylinder cars like our REO's. It would be fun touring with our REO's. Hope you bring yours. Dan Seeman who just finished his 1910 Cad. is also bring his 2 cylinder Buick. His is fast! Not going to try and pass him....Smile.

I'm looking forward to the CanAm as well.I'm taking the 11 tourabout again. How about you? Is the 15 PU going to make its CanAm debut??
The Island Navigator Tour ends a week before the CanAm. I'm taking the 12 Oakland on that and Dan's bringing our 11 Stanley.
So much to do and so little time to do it....
Nope. Bringing the 1927 Touring and the wife is bringing her 1923 Runabout.
Finally... someone can tell HER "where to go"! ;)
