How many remember Little Amerca in Wyoming? I first stopped there in 1955 when driving to California. I was driving my 1951 Pontiac convertible.
Still there - bigger than ever. It's a good location. Passed through many times, stopped a few times for lunch.
Love that picture! I see one of my 56 Pontiac 4 doors.
Yes it is still there, I have stopped to stretch my legs there many times over the last 35 years.
God Bless
Bill
Based on the cars in the parking lot, it looks like the picture was taken in 1964 or 1965.
I remember stopping there in the 70's on a family trip to California. A couple of years ago we stopped on our way to the Black Hills with my wife and kids, busy place.
When I was in grad school in the early '70's in Omaha, NB, Little America was roughly halfway home to Los Angeles (24 hours total driving time to LA!).
Whenever I had enough time off, I would drive my '61 VW bug as fast as it would go to Little America, sleep for 8 hours and eat, then drive the rest of the way home (had a girlfriend in LA, now my wife). Didn't have enough money to get a room. Return trip the reverse!
Over 5 years of school in Omaha, I spent a lot of time in the parking lot of Little America. Feel like I should make a donation or something to them!
It looks like a car tour I went to this summer.
Antique cars get newer with each passing year I guess . . .
I was there in September this year during a power outage. No ice cream! It looks much the same as your picture just the cars have changed. I remember stopping there in 1958 with my dad driving a 1953 Ford.
