Is This an Australian Invention or where they sold world wide. I have been to a collectors show for two days and this wheel was in the display behind my vehicle. It is made of Platted rope and held on with five belts around the steel fellow and It was on a 21inch T wheel... Ray Rope Tire

Wow...neat! A pre-wrapped tire for snow or sand.

Sure beats making your own :-)

I once had a cheapo tube in a cheapo tire on a cheapo hand truck go bad as I was moving my display into a trade show. I took the tube out and filled the tire with 3/8" rope (from my display), as full as I could get it, and finished my move-in.
Seven years later, I got a new hand truck and retrieved the nearly 30' of line from the tire on the old hand truck.

Hi John, Thank you for the Tinker Tip add John but this is a commercially made item as its to good for a guy sitting on the side of the road to make to get home on and its never been on the road.
It is in NOS condition but he would not trade it as I did ask... Ray
