This Memorial Day let us keep in our hearts what our military does for us.
Here is an inspiring video saluting the Marines branch of out military.

video www.freedomchoice4u.com 3 min 13 sec
Hit F11 to go full screen. Hit Esc to get out of it.
Remember, there are other equally important branches of the military.

While we are at it, see this one about the Blue Angels
This is one of the best Blue Angel videos You'll see!! ENJOY. It might make you dizzy in spots.

Great perspective with much of it filmed from the cockpit. You see the
formation then see it from the pilot or camera view. It is in HD if your computer can handle it. This was recorded in Pensacola FL.

It is the soldier, not the reporter,
Who has given us freedom of the press.
It is the soldier, not the poet,
Who has given us freedom of speech.
It is the soldier, not the campus organizer,
Who has given us the freedom to demonstrate.
It is the soldier, Who salutes the flag,
Who serves beneath the flag,
And whose coffin is draped by the flag,
Who allows the protester to burn the flag.

I have been to two businesses in town in the past few days and as a veteran, I am taking particular exception to some of the signs I have seen posted on doors. One said "we will be closed Memorial Day, sorry for the inconvenience.: The other, at the oil change place said, printed on as ign with fireworks and the falg, "Sorry, but we will be closed for business." What this country needs a royal wakeup. We have forgotten the values that this country founded on.

Our thoughts and best wishes go to all branches of all of the military forces that have served and are currently serving overseas to protect our way of life. They continue to do such and receive little or no recognition. We all hope you have a great day and they will all return home safe and sound. Dave C., Adelaide, South Australia.

Memorial Day is because..
Below is 16mm color (not "colorized") footage, that you may not have seen, of carrier action in the Pacific.
There wasn't much color shot in the '40s - extremely expensive then, with a complicated and exacting processing process.

WASHINGTON (CNN) (In the beginning) — Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki confirmed Tuesday that the Obama administration is considering a controversial plan to make veterans pay for treatment of service-related injuries with private insurance. It was said that because today's service people were volunteers, when they come home wounded, they should bear the expenses themselves. http://blatheringsblog.com/?p=1530
(That’s cruel.)

There is more to what you have posted Eugene....

A female friend of mine, sends a special e-mail, to all of her friends who have served, on Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Veterans Day, and even on September 11th. I thought that I would take this opportunity to pass this on to you....

It is the
VETERAN,
not the preacher,
who has given us freedom of religion.

It is
The VETERAN,
not the reporter,
who has given us freedom of the press.

It is
The VETERAN,
not the poet,
who has given us freedom of speech.

It is
The VETERAN,
not the campus organizer,
who has given us freedom to assemble.

It is
The VETERAN,
not the lawyer,
who has given us the right to a fair trial.

It is
The VETERAN,
not the politician,
Who has given us the right to vote.

It is the
VETERAN who
salutes the Flag,

It is
The
VETERAN
who serves
under the Flag,

ETERNAL
REST GRANT THEM O LORD, AND LET PERPETUAL LIGHT SHINE UPON
THEM.

I'd be
EXTREMELY proud if this email reached as many as possible. We can be very proud of our young men and women in the service no matter where they serve.

Makes you proud to be an AMERICAN!!!!!

There are a few pictures that go with this. All of the cartoons that Eugene has posted are in here. If any of you are interested in the entire e-mail, with pictures, please let me know. I'll be happy to forward it to you.....
