Just a reminder for those attending the July Tour in Rapid City to look for me and my T. I'll be set up to sell raffled tickets for the patriotic quilt. (Only $2 a piece). Or contact me online at tidysum@aol.com and I'll sell them and send them to you. The proceeds benefit the Rapid City Police Dept K-9 unit. We buy kevlar vests for the K-9 officers. I'll look forward to seeing all of you and having you give me tons of advice about my T.Quilt

Beautiful quilt Susan! Who made it? I'm going to email you for some tickets. Very good cause, and very good of you to raise money for them! Kudos!

Got the email. Thanks for the purchase. I made the quilt this winter for this specific cause. Hope to see people in the Black Hills. Tickets are for sale up until the drawing July 24th. ANYONE can by a ticket. You don't have to be present to win. Also, I am contributing a quilt to the Model T club International auction. Hope you will bid on that too.

What kind of weather can we expect in 2 weeks? I noticed they are calling for rain (Isolated & Scattered Thunderstorms) all of next week. Does it typically rain for short bursts, --or for long periods all day out there?

Well let's see. All during June we were getting torrential rains. But in July it'll cloud up and lightly rain for about ten minutes in spots. Can rain real hard for ten minutes and then the storms move out. It's been unpredictable but my guess is that it'll be hot with late afternoon showers. Just enough to wet the streets. How's that for weather forecasting? Better than the weatherman. We went to Deadwood yesterday and thunderheads started accumulating around 4. Got maybe two drops.

I am so looking forward to seeing many of you in Rapid. I just got the itinerary for the Rapid City Tour. It doesn't mention Hill City or Custer. Folks if you don't go an see Crazy Horse and the really great art center there, you are missing something. It would be like coming to the Hills and not seeing Rushmore. Looks like all the activity outlined on the tour is North and they are missing the lower half of the Hills- the Wildlife Loup and Iron Mountain Road.
SOOOOO...if you have a chance swing down this way. I'll be selling tickets and I'll give free advice on what the best places are to eat and where to tour. I'll be waitin'.....
