Hello, I have an original 1914 Ford Touring and am I am the third owner. The car has never been taken apart, ever. The headlamps are Victor Model 2, the Sidelamps are Victor Model 2 square design with riveted brackets and mounted to the firewall and Rear lamp that is E&J Model 12 with red and clear lens, (Round), only, with a square design lamp. This lamp also has "Pat. Applied For Detroit". Are these the proper lamps for this car?? Thank You, John
Sounds like the tail lamp has been replaced at some point in the past 96 years.
Royce, Any idea what the proper tail lamp should be? Also any idea what year the lamp that is on the car is for? I am new to the forum. Thanks, John
This shows a good idea of what you should have. The Brown lamps were most common. Victor most uncommon.

John,Lamps were shipped in sets of 5.What is the make of your headlamps?? Victor lamps show up from time to time so?? Our 14 has a full set of #2 Victors but im shure i have the wrong gennerator as i have no pointer! Bud.
I wouldn't hesitate to find a Victor #2 tailight.
Try the classifieds, and ebay.
My understanding is that the headlamps and generator were purchased and packed as a set, and the same with the side and tail lamps. Therefore, a '14 could have had one make of headlamps and another make of side and tail lamps. The headlamps and generator should match, however.
This is the case on my '14 which has Brown headlamps and generator, and Victor side and tail lamps.
