It has been said here on the Forum that Model T's (at least the earlier years, if not all) originally had brass gas lines. Does anyone know of a source today for 1/4" o.d. brass tubing?
They got you again Mikey!
Mike,
Lang’s and I would assume other major vendors have the brass line see: http://www.modeltford.com/pl.aspx?t=s&v=2909BR&page=1 .
Respectfully submitted,

Sorry, I didn't realize the vendors carried it. Thanks for the tip, Seth; I hadn't thought of Googling it. Google sent me to OnlineMetals.com, where I ordered a 6' piece. The tubing cost $12.30, but the shipping was $15.45. Prob'ly about the same as Lang's with shipping.
Mike,
I have an unopened 50 foot roll of 1/4 OD brass tubing in the shop. If I knew you needed some I would have delivered it to you next time I was in your neck of the woods!
Paul
Thanks, Paul -- That would have saved me $27.
But I'm ready to hook up the gas line and radiator and fire'er up! I can't wait for Thanksgiving for that.
A point to remember is that brass tubing can "work-harden" from vibration and crack as a result. If you are going to use your acetylene lamps, I would think it better to use coated steel (bundy tube),rubber gas tube or a reinforced air line material ?
Mikeska is coming for Thanksgiving and you didn't invite me????????? =(
Uncle Mike, you'd best get somebody from Nordakota to herd a mess of turkeys your way if Uncle Stan's coming for Thanksgiving!(G)
Maybe he can grab a few on his way through.
Come on down, Unca' Stan, and you too, Unca' Jack. Paul will be here; we can all have a big time.
That would be fun.
This sounds like a good reason to have a Thanksgiving tour in Arkansas!!!! I wish that we could pull it off. I would bring a T for that.
