Bill

The '26 roadster is 1645 lbs.

For road weight add 79 lbs. [5 gal gas, 1 gal oil, 3 1/4 g water] Battery and starter weight is included.

Total: 1,724

That's the curb weight. Gross weight would be with whatever load it is rated to carry.

I would guess the rated weight of a T pickup would be 1/4 ton. Add 300 lb for bodies. (Reality is the bodies are closer to 400 lb today, of course...)

It would be a good idea to check the load rating of your tires, not for the DMV, but for you.

Ben Yumori said he got only 200 miles on a set of clinchers on his calliope T, as it weighs 3,600 lb.

Bill,

Bruce's "Model T Ford", pg. 369 gives
the roadster pickup's weight with 1,736 lbs
including starter and 21'' demountable wheels.
— I thinks, that's for the "dry" car;
for water, gasoline and oil I would add at least
90 to 92 lbs, for the tank takes 10 gallons.

I think the only reason the dmv asks is so they know what to charge me for the plate?
Thanks for all the info I am just going to tell them 1900 pounds.

Bill
