Who did it and how is it working after a while of testing?I cant remember if it was last year or this year, someone took a sway back NH and ground out the middle of it and best I can remember they did notice a change in performance. But I dont recall any updates.
I'm not sure you can take too much out of the middle. The design of the NH/swayback has less material and can't be made to be straight through. The throat can be enlarged a little. I do remember someone say they did enlarge one and like you I didn't hear the outcome or results.
I think it was Bob Cascisa (sp?) in Silverdale, Wa.
Maybe he will chime in if my ol' memory is right.
Check out these three threads. It tells the story of my experiment with a modified NH. I still run this modified NH today.
OOOOPS the first and last are the same.
OK - OK - OK
Only some of my fingers can type.
Cam Marshall ran a NH like this prior to the 2006 MT 500 that was held in Havre,Mt. He made the hole .710 of an inch, I guess it was a misunderstanding of the 500 rules. He said his T ran like a Striped Ape.
