Dan;
Those rear wheels look like solid tires? What do you think?

They sure do, Richard. Also note: it looks to me like the left front tire is leaning against the tree or something and is also a "solid" tire. Since the hood is on the ground and the left front seems to be on a jack stand, I'd say this may be more a roadside repair than a campimg trip, maybe both based on the laundry, lean-to(?) on the right side, etc.

I think these are the concept tires for the new airless tires. Here is one.

Jay, and vintage campers, I have one of those folding bench seats shown in your photo. It was my grandfathers and he used it for camping in the 30's and 40's. I made a copy of it that I sometimes use on old car events. I saw it advertized in a 1905 Sears catalog.

The camp Robbers would even eat out of you hand and sit on the table while you were eating.

Robb, that is great! And the strip canoe is excellent too.

Does anyone have any plans to make a camper body like that?

Robb - My wife and I sure like your camper! Could you post a photo of it all folded up and ready for the road? Thanks,.......harold

P.S. Sent you a PM.

Robb's camper reminds me of Peter and Sally Kable's Lampsteed Kampcar in one respect: they both have fold-down bunks on both sides of the vehicle. It's a pretty nifty arrangement.

I like how the floor of the 'covered wagon' camper lowers to ground level. It's much easier to get dressed if you can stand up.

That "covered wagon" reminds me of Dean Yoder's rig (before he got it all dirty). :-)

Here is an old ad for an early 1916 camping trailer. There was a Model T in Maryland that had one very similar to this one mounted on the chassis in place of the turtle deck, about 25 years ago.

I found many patents online using the google patent search and the search terms "camping trailer" or "camp trailer"..... though I did not find this one yet .
