Does anyone have a source for the sprung metal piece that locks the coupe door latch?

John,
The 26-27 coupe door is the same as the 28-29 model A pick-up door. Check out the Snyders catalog for model A parts for your best chance of finding what you need.

Thanks Jeff but the part I need is not included in the rebuild kit. It's a flat piece of sprung steel that's riveted to the cover. I'll try to upload a pic of a latch that is also missing that piece. sprung steel

Just checked and the piece I need isn't included in the kit. I have that kit but this is a flat piece of sprung steel that rivets to the cover and locks the drivers door.I'm trying to figure out what I could use to replace it.

John,
How thick is the piece you need? Probably a section of old bandsaw blade would be the correct material if it is the right size. It could be annealed, formed, drilled and re-tempered as needed.

Good idea. I'll try that although I don't know the correct thickness. Thanks Jim.

Thanks Lorenzo. I'll try and find that and see how it goes. Without that spring the door won't lock. Thanks again.
