7 years from purchase to the road. When I disassembled the 1927 T most friends thought I'd eventually be selling it off in pieces. Boy did I fool them! With lots of tips and good advice from this forum and the members of the Old Colony Model T Club, I "preserved" one of Henry's progeny.

I did not attempt any authenticity. I did it my way. Everything but the sandblasting was done by myself, with help from my wife, son and friends.
I am very happy with the results and pleased to be joining the family of Model T owners!BeforeDirect comparison - FrontBefore - My son could stand up insideBefore This is me, working on it in the garageDriving it in the yard before it had a roofUpholstery around the rear windowLooking GoodA Year of Manufacture PlateWe all had a hand in putting on the plateFinished!! In our driveway and ready to roll!

Robert, well done. Wonderful fruit from your labor. Very eye catching. Welcome to "the family". Great that it was a family and friend project also. How does she drive?

To Steve in Ks. The standup driver is now as tall as I am, the "T" will be his prom ride.
Steve in Tenn. The deal was I could buy the car
Janet, the wife, got to pick the colors with my approval. I did the spraying, she did the striping and sewing.
Eric in Wa. I think it drives quite well. I'm still mastering the hand foot coordination. A few corners have been taken a little faster than is appropriate.Gas milage seems to be terrible, less than 15 MPG.
I had lots of fun and turned some heads over the weekend

Bob, sounds like you are having fun. Any photo of the engine? Would like to see the carb and intake setup. Great gas milage is not T style, but should be able to do better than 15 mpg.

The hands/feet/cornering sounds like you are still on the steep part of the learning curve. That is part of the fun.

Fantastic! It's always great to see a T get back into circulation. Very unique and eyecatching color scheme. If I might offer a suggestion. Appearance-wise, the splash apron below the radiator was designed to tie the left and right half of the car together. If you were to paint the apron the same color as the fenders, it would serve to join the two fenders together and tie together the two halves of your car. Great work! Respectfully. Jim Patrick

To Jim in FL
This is Janet, "the wife". I made that very suggestion about the splash apron between the fenders when Bob first painted it. I thought it split the car, but Bob had already painted it, so he left it as it was. Nice to know I was right! Thanks!
Janet (the wife)

Bob and I are very fortunate in having wives who care enough about us and our Model T's to offer their opinions. It is important that we listen because it then makes it into a joint project that both can be proud of that they had a hand in the final outcome. Jim Patrick

To Erich in Vancouver

A 10 to 12 mile drive tonight. Spark advanced to about the 7:30 position. Leaner setting on the needle valve. Less throttle, same speed. MPG seems to have improved.

Pictures of engine. Please, no comments on the 12 volt alternator, cheepo horn or water pump. All other comments would be appreciated.
