The travellers spent a few hours with Fred Houston at Fred's Model T Garage, then went to Mike Bender's shop for a few more. How could a Model T'er possibly have a better time in Tulsa than that?

They left for Kansas late this afternoon; destination: McPherson, KS for lunch tomorrow.

We sure did! What a pleasant day to spend a day. Thanks to Mike, Mike and Fred for all their hospitality and also to Fred for lunch this afternoon. We made Augusta KS tonight.

We were advised to take Hwy 20 through Hominy OK on our way so as to visit the world-famous birthplace of the great Mike Walker, which, of course, we did. Unfortunately, his statue must have been sent out for polishing and all the commemorative signs taken down for repainting. Oh well...

What? The statue and signs are gone? Probably down for some maintenance, as you suggested. (cleaning off all the rotten eggs and tomatoes. ) :-)
