Looks nice, congratulations! Any decisions on what type of body you will put on it?

Thanks for posting these, Richard.. I have a chassis that I will now have to go look at.. when I can I will post them as well.. I am not sure if my rear body brackets are 12 or 13.. I can't remember if they are part of the extension or the separate bracket...

Michael

Amazing chassis.Anybody know if the Dodge Brothers mark on the front axle were always in the same spot or did they vary some?

Looking really good, Richard. I would like to make a suggestion: It would probably be a good idea to either screw the sparkplugs in just finger tight or put 4 plumbing plugs in the holes until you are ready to install the plugs. I don't know about you, but in my experience if someone drops a marble 50 feet away, it will find it's way into one of those holes! :-)

Good luck with a great looking project!

Thanks for all the comments, suggestions and good will. Jim, I've only seen the DB encircled outside the spring perches. Wayne, still thinking about a body. Perhaps something wood.
Henry, good suggestion. Although I now have the head off the engine, I will take steps to insure nothing finds its way into the water passages.

I can't wait to see what the inside of the pan and RE housings look like. Maybe tomorrow. If there is any interest, I can post some more photos.

Please do post more pictures.I have at least one, maybe two DB axles, and without looking I'm pretty sure the DB is outside the perches. Those are inside,so obviously they put that different places. One of those axles came from a later '13,so maybe the inboard was earlier.

I think the intake manifold is 1913 - early 1914. The intake manifold for most of calendar year 1912 looks a bit different. Here are pictures of a '12 intake:

You are probably correct Royce. I do seem to remember the earlier straight legged alum intakes do have embossed numbers. Some numbers may have been on the back side of the vertical part.
I do have another original 12 chassis and the intake has no embossed numbers. Perhaps it was changed, perhaps different ones were used.

Royce, what do you think is "most?" I have a '12 manifold identical to your photo but no part number on it.
