does anyone know of a grind stone on a flex shaft that will pass through the bends in a T intake mainifold?

Tyrone
You might check a Dremel. Mine has a flex shaft, you'd just have to find the right sized stone.

I used a wire rope, spun it with a drill,...not really successful.

Tried to get Extrude Hone to quote on them doing the racer thing on an iron T intake....but they never replied.

Sand blasting works great

Tyrone, you could on your own mix up some slurry like rock polishers use, pore an amount in equal to a 30-40% volume. Plug all three openings and set it up to rotate for several hours.

I agree with Bill on the sand blasting. On our nascar late model, we were required to run factory cast center dump exhaust manifolds and no porting or polishing was allowed. The rules stated that the inside must retain rough cast appearence. We would sand blast the heck out of them. I was amazed at how much bigger they would get! They sure glowed alot prettier color red at night! Remember, it isn't cheating until you get caught! LOL

Ok you guys are going where i wanted to go. I was working what small grinding stones I had and openned up the three holes of the intake but could only cut about an inch in. Just can not get down into the curves well to open up and smooth.
Funny Jerome I was thinking the same deal using an electric ice cream mixer motor I have. I guess great minds do think alike.

If it's not an early part, you can always run it thru a bandsaw, polish it, and weld it up after ... I'm just sayin'...
