She's a looker too ain't she?
She sure is, but I bet her feet got real hot. Sure is a minimalist speedster.
I think see looks like a young Melanie Griffith. Here's a photo for comparisons.
Jay, you are so right. Maybe her great granny.
Notice the engine uses at least two different types of spark plug.
Hey no kidding Jay sure does. I think she looks better than Melanie!
Whoever took the photo didn't really want a picture of the gent. Just the lady. Wonder what holds the steering column besides the driver?
My Dad owned a Ford strip down like that one in 1926. Married a pretty gal like that too...I called her Mom.
Meg Ryan's mother?
Notice the "foot rest' strap hanging below the frame.
My first thought was that is one impressivly fuzzy sweater. Also, Amoung the thing thrown out to lighten the car: Brake rods
Looks like the gas tank has been moved back and raised up a little, presumably to improve gas flow to the carb. Obviously, the steering column has been lowered. I wonder what other "adjustments" were made to make it like it is?
Yup, she's a looker!
This is a great photo! She certainly does look like Melanie Griffith....
I didn't notice the fella's sweater, sure is VERY fuzzy.
I'm a Melanie Griffith fan. Ever see Nobody's Fool with Paul Newman
That doesn't look comfortable, especially the older I get.
Interesting streamlining touch below the radiator. where is the E-brake lever? Must have been hard to start without it. I'd have jettisoned the Hasslers if I wanted to save weight. Could that have been his sister? Very smiler facial features.
I'll second the Meg Ryan relation
Missing most of the exhuast
Wonder why he even needs a sweater with that sitting next to him? Always said: If they look good in black & white they MUST have been a knockout in color.
Great speedster photos! I always liked those early minimalist racers. I would like to put one together, like an original I looked at about 40 years ago. But they won't let me take it on the endurance run!
Drive safe, and thank you, W2
