I picked up a double twist horn last year at Hershey that had a few dings in the bell. I thought I'd give it a shot in trying to work out the dents. I got them 95% out, but there's a couple real light ripples you can still feel. I'm giving up, who do I send it to that can get it fixed right?
I'd take it to someone who repairs brass musical instruments

it is best to not do anything to it. You can do more harm than good. The dent must come out the same way it went in.

Well then, setting the hood on the dent and lifting it off real fast should suck the dent back out!
David, You don't have your location listed but I can highly recommend Glibert Metal Products in El Monte, Ca. at 10816 St. Louis Dr. Wayne Erickson's # is 626-448-3251.
I used Britten's Brass Works in Ceresco, Michigan to restore my Rubes horn. They did a very nice job. Mostly, they do brass instruments like trumpets, but quite a few car horns as well.
