A 1926 Model T 4 door sedan followed me home a day after my birtday.
I have known about this car since about 1971 or 72.At that time it was for sale & being a high school student it was priced too high for me.
Fast forward to Monday and I purchased it.The gentleman who sold it to me is now about 84 years young & his wife taught me in grades 7 & 8.
My son is having a great time trying to get it to run right.
Happy motoring,
Scott

Jay,
The lawn roller was built in 1923 from a kit made by the Dunham Water Weight Roller Co.from Monroe, Michigan(company info I have found on the Net.)Can anyone add to this info?
The kit contained the front turning plate,2 small front rollers,1 large rear roller, cast steering wheel, column & steering box, steering chain,2 chain sprockets for the rear brake drums with chain. The rear axle had to be narrowed- part of the kit ? The frame was shortened also.
I have never seen another one like it before.Has anyone seen one ?
Another interesting point is my roller was built in the village of Beachville, Ontario,Canada in 1923.On June 4,1838 the first recorded game of baseball was played in Beachville, one year before the Cooperstown game.

This afternoon I had to go into town to run some arrands. My son Christopher asked if he could look at the car.It was running rough and a lot of things needed to be checked and tightened.
When I got home I found him under the hood, coils out of the coil box & checking for loose connections etc.,removed the commutator, cleaned & put vasoline in it(new day timer).
We started it up & it ran a little better. It has been really warm here for the last few days & we went back into the house for a while. In the mean time I had to take my daughter to work. When I got back home I could hear a Model T running.Sure enough he was back out in the garage working on the T.
Chris was back & forth checking the Forum for info etc.A great place to get info from some of the greatest people around.
So if you have any younger people around, you should let them get hands on experience tinkering with a Model T,they will appreciate the car even more.
Scott

Scott,

You have a very good point. It seems that more often than not, the "younger crowd" isn't interested in the Model T, but put a wrench in their hand and point them toward Lizzie and they will be hooked forever.
