Hi Guys!
I work for a heritage centre based in Trafford Park, Manchester and we are currently making preparations for our centenary event, celebrating 100 years of the first manufacturing plant outside of North America, in Trafford Park. The plant was opened here and 1911 and produced 300,000 model T cars before operations were moved to Dagenham in 1931.
What I'm looking for (if possible) is photographs and images of model T cars that people would not mind me using as part of the exhibition in our centre. we have 40 model T cars coming to the Centre on the day along with Ford representatives and the media and all I have at the moment is old photographs of the cars, I have none of model T's in the present! I would be thrilled if I could use some photographs from actual model T owners!!! please!!
Thanks
Joanne

Joanne, because of the forum requirements for fairly low-resolution pictures, you might want to save some of these and see if they're good enough for your display purposes. If not, let us know and give us an e-mail address for sending higher-resolution versions.

Joanne, the web site of, www.modeltcentral.com
will give you a good variety of T photo's from arond the world.
Joanne, rumor has it that there are still somewhere in the neighborhood of 60,000 Model T's in the world today. I don't know that number for a fact but I do know there's a whole bunch of them.
Dennis,
I've heard 250,000 but I have no substantiation for that number.
Joanne, I am having trouble posting a picture! If you e-mail me at gbutton@roadrunner.com I will be glad to give you some pictures of my 1914 T Depot Hack. ....Chip

Yet again you guys amaze me!! Thank you all so much!
In relation to the number of model T's around, the model T register club in the UK have advised me that 50,000 model T's survive with only 1500 of these being in the UK.
Joanne,
I would believe 50,000 Model T's are currently registered and presumably operable in the United States. Certainly many multiples of that number exist.
Joanne
Heres one more for your show and tell. Best of luck.
Bob

G'day Guys,
I was wondering why the website figures had shot up and then found this thread!
Many of you would know I have been collecting photos of the various different T's still in existence and building a library ( Model T Photo Gallery ) for some time now.
I always happy to receive contributions and in particular the personal stories that go with them.
There are a few photo's in this thread that I don't have, so I'll add them if nobody objects. If you'd rather I didn't add yours, please let me know.
Cheers
Chris
Here is my '16 (restored as a '15).

you guys are brilliant.....however I do have one more HUGE ask!!!
I desperately need a video clip!! just 1 or 2 but I'm really struggling with this as I need it to be a file rather than an embed code from a website.
I don't suppose someone can help me out??? pretty please????!!! :-)
If You Tube videos will work for you, here are a couple of mine.

Joanne......you can use a free program to save those youtube, or ANY, videos you should want to nab. I use VideoGrabber.
Realplayer has a built in "saver" too.
There are free programs that will save them and you can create your own files.
In the case of flv files Window Movie Maker recognizes that along with many other video formats.
Hi Joanne,
If you ask them really nicely, the Model T Ford Club of Victoria (my club) took a lot of video footage during our centenary celebrations and created a DVD.
Two of the best parts were a camera placed at a roundabout in the host town and shot all the different cars passing by, plus, they organised on one rally day for every car to pass through a town we visited, but from either direction, so there were 100's of cars driving down the main street in both directions - Spectacular sight.
Perhaps they may allow you to use this footage..
If you like, use the contact form on my site (Modeltcentral) Click here and send me your details. I'll pass them on, as I am no longer on the club committee
Here's mine: a 1925 Touring. (with a little 1924 thrown in for good measure)

I'm off on holiday now and back in work on the day of the actual event but I'll be sure to let you know how it all goes and I'll post some pictures on here as we have 45 cars attending on the day!
Once again, thanks so much

Looks like the turnout included a good number of brass cars.
Here is another. This was taken when the car was about 2 years old. My father is driving, I am next to him and my mother is in back.
Thanks Joanne Connor for the pictures, it's always great when you can get the T out on a holiday like Labor Day....lol

1917 Runabout
Last week, one of my friends in England visited the Centenary celebration at Ford's Dunton Engineering Centre where there was a big display of employee owned antique Fords. He relayed that he had a fairly good idea of the years of the various Ts due to our prior discussions.
This weekend, the English Centenary celebration is ending with a tour of the various English produced cars. This is part of the Goodwood Revival. Harry Potter's Anglia 105E is going to be one of the cars along with some of the Le Mans and other ralley cars. They also have a replica Quadricycle in the tour. If I wasn't supposed to be at the Old Car Festival, I would want to be here.
