How much oil should be coming up into the generator area when the motor is running? I have the generator removed and don't see any oil coming up and lubricating the timing gears.

When I forgot to put the oil cap on, I got oil coming out the breather.

Are you sure the oil tube is unplugged? Take out one of the front bolts from the inspection plate, and run the engine. Oil should come out at a good flow. If not, your oil line is plugged.

I am going to see if I can find time to remove the camshaft gear today and attemp to clean out the internal oil line just as routine maint. I will first check oil flow by removing the front bolt from the inspection cover. This motor does have an external oil line as well from the magneto. I did remove that yesterday and blew everything out and it seems to be working ok. I did figure the oil flow would have been greater on the external oil line that what is is.
