I have a 24TT panel truck with a Bauer mfg. steering wheel lock model 4. I'm having trouble getting it apart to get at the gears. I have removed a drive pin on the left side thinking it is a locking device to keep the top from turning on the threads. Is it right or left hand threads? When I start turning the top in ether direction, the lower portion also trys to turn.Is anyone familiar with this accessory
Hi Tom
If one of these matches your lock, you may have to delve
into the patent description to see if any thing there helps.

On my 24 there are two square pins, flush with the top of the steering. You have to drive them up and out from behind if I remember correctly.
