I may have taken the last tour up trail Ridge for this year. The weather was real nice yesterday 80 degrees and snow predicted for tomorrow so I thought I better get in my last tour up the Ridge for this year.

The leaves have been falling in the yard so It sure looked like winter coming.

When I arrived at Sheep Meadows there was a huge herd of Elk

I stopped to take a picture at the sign that cautioned about changing weather further up the Ridge.

Warning

From the sign pull over you could see fresh snow on the top of the ski run above Hidden Valley

A little further up I stopped to take a pictue at the two miles above sea level Sign.

I arrived at Rainbow Curve Overlook which is about the 11,000 Foot level. From here you can see the upper ski run slope of the now abandoned ski area at Hidden Valley.

The road was closed just above Rainbow Cruve Overlook.

Road Closed

Here you can see some fresh snow along side the road at the sign.

Starting back down the hill I stopped to stretch my legs at Many Parks Overlook. A mother asked if I would let her take a pictue of her daughter beside the car. I said sure have her get in the front seat and you can get a pictue of her sitting in the car. I also took a picture but somehow ruined it.
