We were invited to a car show at at an open house at the Missouri Wing of the Commemorative Air Force at Smart Field in St. Charles Missouri. There was an interesting show at this event. They did pumpkin bombing. They set up a target out in the field and private planes bombed the target with pumpkins. It was interesting to watch the private planes come in low and slow and drop a pumpkin. Most dropped too late. At this show was a B-25 (Show Me), TBM Avenger, L3A, AT-6, C-47 Dakota, a couple of Navion's, and What I think is a PT-13. The car show part hat about 50 Corvets,3 Model T's, a 1938 Dodge pickup, and a couple of Hot Rods. I could not get picktures of all the planes but I hope you enjoy the pictures I did get. I hope these can be seen ok.

First 2 pictures of us.

Yes the AT-6 and the B-25 were selling rides but the price was way to rich for me.
The B-25 was loaded with about 20 pumpkins that they dropped in 2 runs.

Then it made some low passes.

Steven, whose Model Ts were there?

That has to be the same B-25 that did the flyover at the 2010 British Commonwealth Remembrance Day ceremony at Jefferson Barracks. Coolest way to end that event that I have ever experienced. They had a coordinator with a radio on the ground at the ceremony and as the piper walked into the distance, the B-25 flew over from the direction of the river.

Nelson Jones with the truck, Don Speath with his 24 touring and me with my 25 touring. A new MTFCA member, Darrel St. Albans came with his newly acquired 38 dodge pick up. We got a lot of attention considering the rest pf the cars were corvets.

I believe that's a BT-13, commonly known as a "Vultee Vibrator."

On take-off, put it in low pitch and high blower and it would rattle the windows for miles around. And when you turned around to see what all the noise was about, it would be hardly moving.

Sincerely

Jim Weir
