Anything going on in central Florida between December 28 and January 5? We will be visiting family in Eustis and Apopka and would like to see some things history or old car related. I plan to drive down to Ft Meyers to check out the Ford-Edison winter homes despite what some have said on another thread here. The website makes it look quite interesting. Besides, the beaches on Sannibel Island are a draw for the wife! Will be good to get to a warmer place as the temps here in Washington are really beginning to drop.

On the way to Fort Myers stop by Punta Gorda and visit us. Lots to see and do in Fisherman's Village and Charlotte Harbor.

Gee? I think, they still drive 'T's' as an everyday mode of transportation in Eustis and Apopka . . . ! The 'Model 'A' is still the car of the future up there!! (ONLY teasing!)
They really do have the Model A's too!!
'Mikey' made me do it!

All kidding aside - you'll LOVE the rural area - and the Edison is always worth a return trip two or three times!!

Enjoy our State!!

Years ago, there used to be a great antique car and music box/phonograph museum in Sarasota called "Bellm's Cars and Music of Yesteryear" and I used to visit it often. It is no longer called that anymore and it no longer has the music boxes and phonographs but it still has the antique cars and is called Sarasota Classic Car Museum www.sarasotacarmuseum.org. Directly across from the car museum is The Ringling Circus Museum and Museum of Art which has on display, John Ringling's massive collection of paintings that rival some of the greatest art museums in the world. www.ringling.org. Have a great time. The weather is perfect. Jim Patrick
