Tour Feb. 25th thru Mar. 1st, 2007. 7th Annual Model T Winter Tour Once again the Mad River Ts of West/Central Ohio invite you to join them when they head to Florida for a break from the winter weather. Five days of touring in the warm sunshine. This year we are going to Daytona Beach, FL. Our tour is timed to fit in between the Daytona 500 race and Bike Week when lodging and traffic are at their best. Our host hotel will be the Holiday Inn Express Speedway Resort, phone number (386)258-6333. The hotel has a deluxe continental breakfast for all and a refrigerator and coffee in each room. Campers should reserve spaces early at the Nova Family Campground (386)767-0095. Be sure to mention the tour for our special rates at either place. Tour plans include trips to St. Augustine, the oldest city in America; a drive on Ormond Beach where Barney Oldfield once raced; a tour to Kennedy Space Center and the Natural Seashore; a beautiful drive through the Ravine Gardens in Palatka; a visit to the Daytona Speedway to see the IMAX theater presentations, the museum, a tram tour of the facilities and some hands-on fun; a lovely drive along the Intercoastal Waterway; our cars on display in the park...... and much more. We are planning two banquets, several lunches and an ice cream social. We encourage your donations for our auction to benefit the next year's tour. The Hospitality Room will be open every evening for your enjoyment with snacks and soft drinks. A goody-bag for each car and T-shirts for all. All of this is included in your $150 per person registration fee. Registration is limited to the first 65 cars so don't miss out. Tour: June 17 through June 22, 2007. The Blue and Grey Chapter of the Model T Ford Club of America has been selected to host the 2007 National Eastern Summer Tour. This chapter has previously hosted the 1982 and 2000 National tours. Many of the same members are still active with this chapter and offer a very experienced staff for planning this tour. The chapter members are looking forward to a great event and the opportunity to visit with many old friends that have been made from the National tours here and elsewhere. The tour will originate out of Hagerstown, Maryland, like the 1982 and 2007 tour. This tour will be limited to 100 Model T vehicles, which should result in about 225 tourists, based on the past records. Look for a page in the November/December 2006 Vintage Ford for more details.

DaGunny:

I understand that the limit on cars has been pushed up to 50 Ts.

If any one is having trouble with accomodations in Walden please contact me at Modelt1912@msn.com. I am working on some stand by reservations in case you can't get in the listed Motels.

Sage Hens or Grouse are common in North Park around Walden and Saratoga.
