Yesterday I drove over to Corona to get a few parts. Dave was out, but Glen was kind enough to show me around and let me take a few pictures. Some of these shots illustrate that Glen and many of the other dealers have used and NOS parts that aren't in plentiful enough supply to be in their catalogues. Example: I picked up a few NOS Holley G parts that nobody is currently making. If you're looking for a part that isn't in the catalogue, it doesn't hurt to call and ask. It was a joy to visit with Glen and see all the neat T stuff.

Projects Glen is working on include a 1909, 1911, 1913, and 1914. I didn't write that down, so if I got any of it wrong he can correct me.

Those pictures are only of Glen's beautiful Victorian era home, workshop and parts museum!

He bought the ENTIRE HOUSE next door and converted it into a parts counter and warehouse!

Steve,

Thanks for posting! Wouldn't it be nice to find a Victorian for sale with the attic full of those sorts of things?

We are very fortunate to have so many great vendors (both small and larger). Thank you all for helping us keep the cars running.

Respectfully submitted,

Dang. I believe my heart beats a little faster when I view photos of early T parts like those. And what a beautiful old house! I think I just saw a glimpse of heaven.

I love the house! I wish we had American architecture in Australia...everything here is so bland in comparison.

Steve,
It's a long way from Kansas to Corona! I like the way you said "Yesterday I drove over to Corona". Welcome to Southern California. Chaffin's is one of the best parts suppliers for Model T. I have some of his parts on my Model T's.

Have you moved here, or do you really drive over to get your parts? I've done that, but I live just over 100 miles from Corona.

He will mail the parts to me, and if I call him they get here in just a few days.
Norm

John H, yes it is a fine house, but have you not been to Illawarra in Toorak? Now that's a fine piece of Australian architecture.
Sorry if I have gone a bit OT here.
Chris M.

Norm, I drove over from my brother's place in Lomita. I'm just out here for a brief visit and to keep myself glad I escaped. I like going out on my front porch, looking across the road, and seeing---wheat! Much more to my liking than the urban landscape. I didn't get to see everyone, so I guess I'll have to come back again.

Gee.....I never thought about running shelf and bins down the center of the 2nd attic the missus doesn't know how to get into...about the same span, about the same height, wow...great idea...:-)

I may have mentioned this before...last year she noticed a car was missing about 2 weeks after it wasn't there anymore and ask me if I sold it as I have never been known to sell anything...I made the mistake of telling her I had taken it apart and rolling my eyes towards the attic area that goes between the garage and the house and her reply was, "You didn't!" since that attic is over her laundry room and other 'wife' space :-)

Yep, I can see shelves and bins right down the center in the near future...keeping 4 cars in a 2-1/2 car garage doesn't leave too much room to hide things..........

Thanks for posting the pics..
